They were actually surly. etc.
HP said they would send me a new one. I purchased this computer and it turned out to be a lemon.
My case manager has lied to me repeatedly, sent the computer to the wrong state, etc. That was two months ago.
It's still not here. I finally got to speak with someone in higher authority and they were of no help at all.
I am one unhappy HP costumer and will not purchase their products again if I have a choice.
Great price, delivered on time, working great. Been using it for about a month and very happy with it. Bought to use with new digital TV to record shows and to display my own pictures and videos on new widescreen TV. Working great and felt price was very good. The slimline model fits well in our cabinet. With wireless mouse and keyboard can sit in my easy chair and do everything.
I appreciate the value for this purchase. Great hardware. My first experience with Vista. And I DON'T HATE IT.
I fell in love with the Slimline. Of my boxen, I've got one dead PS and one dead VGA port. Replacement PS start at $70 ($30 used) and add-on video cards need to squeeze into a very small space without drawing too many horses. when I saw one in a store. $500 for a box that's got twice the power of my $1000 box, in 1/3 the space--absolutely yes. Full power in a third of the space--what's not to like. line. After looking online, these problems seem to be relatively common with Slimlines.
I've got three now, and I'm starting to find out. As should have been obvious from the space-crunch, heat dissipation isn't quite what I'm used to. All that said, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. As soon as the quad-cores shrink and mature, it's game on.
The computer itself works OK aside from it getting hot if left on too long. I bought this computer in hopes that the OS would work better than my 2002 Media. Alas, it did not. The OS, however, has too many glitches that the cheap price isn't worth the headache. I would not recommend the Vista version.
